BoaVentura (“Good Venture”) de Caires Winery started like many Livermore Valley small wineries: as a dream by a wine connoisseur. Brett Caires grew up in Oakland in a family of wine connoisseurs. In 1999, the self-made realtor and chef, and his wife, Monique, purchased five acres of Livermore Valley land. He learned the art of winemaking and released his first Cabernet to the public in 2002. The winery focuses on creating “delectable, approachable wines for every household.” The winery is available for weddings.

The Caires family lives in the century-old farmhouse on the property, and the barn was converted into a tasting room. Includes a spacious lawn and beautiful views of the valley.
