All lanes on the Monument Boulevard offramp from northbound Interstate Highway 680 in Pleasant Hill have reopened this evening following a fatal collision, according to the California Highway Patrol.

A Ford Escape and a white four-door Alero collided on the freeway shortly before 7 p.m. and the force of the impact caused both to land on the offramp, according to CHP officials.

The male driver of the Alero sustained fatal injuries in the crash, and two other moderate injuries were reported, according to the CHP.

The offramp reopened shortly after 9 p.m.
